EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Day two of the 87th annual Westchester County Swimming Association Counties Diving Championship featured a much closer contest than anything produced on day one.
Elena Poppas of the Larchmont Yacht Club edged out Madison Kenny of the Shenorock Shore Club by less than a point to win the girls ages 14-17 division. Poppas registered a score of 193.85, while Kenny finished just behind her with a 193.10. The division featured 18 female divers from throughout Westchester County.
Monday had two blowouts of more than 50 points in both the boys and girls 10-13 divisions. But Poppas and Kenny provided Tuesday's crowd with a thrilling contest.
Day two concluded with the boys 14-17 division.
Here are the top eight finishers in the girls 14-17 division:
