New Film, Television School Celebrates Opening In Westchester
An all-new academy in Westchester has started teaching the next generation of television and film talent, officials announced.
The Robert Halmi Sr. Academy of Film and Television in Yonkers at 463 Hawthorne Ave. celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 23, city officials announced.
The school will teach film industry-centered courses, including production design, performance, sound design, and editing.

A 57-year-old man faces criminal charges after neglecting several chickens, roosters, and ducks on his Hudson Valley property, authorities announced.
The man was arrested in Putnam County on Monday, Sept. 23 following an investigation conducted at his Mahopac residence, the Putnam County SPCA announced on Friday, Sept. 27.

Federal authorities released the indictment against New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday, Sept. 26, laying out their case for corruption, bribery, and misuse of public funds, reports said.
