On Thursday, as students begin making plans for their post-graduation lives, more than 70 institutions set up shop in the school's gym and cafeteria as juniors and seniors were joined by their parents and teachers to see and discuss the positives and negatives of their programs at the annual High School College Fair.
Spearheaded by the Tuckahoe High School Guidance Department, the fair allows participants to peruse higher education offerings and interact with representatives from across the nation. This year, sophomores and freshmen were able to join in at the event in an effort to get them experience speaking with college recruiters.
According to Jessica Perillo and Brian Costa, guidance counselors at the high school, "with tier one and tier two schools, as well as military recruiters and trade schools in attendance, the college fair kicked off the application season and was an opportunity for all grade levels to gain exposure to the college admissions process."
"We look forward to continuing to assist the students in completing the admissions process and providing them with all the necessary resources to help them reach all of our post secondary goals."
