Robert Tudisco, a practicing attorney and adult diagnosed with ADHD, will host a discussion that will help parents and teachers understand the challenges that children with the disorder face.
Tudisco is the executive director of the Edge Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides specialized coaching for high school and college students with ADHD and Executive Functioning Impairment. He has served on the boards of the Children and Adults With Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD) and the Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA).
The discussion will help participants understand the neuro-biology of the disorder and the underlying basis behind the challenges students face. As someone who has gone through it, Tudisco can provide a first-hand perspective to the parents and teachers.
During the workshop, Tudisco will provide strategies and coping mechanisms to help address the difficulties of ADHD.
The lecture will be held at 7:30 p.m. on March 13 in the William E. Cottle Elementary School library.
