At 7 p.m. on Nov. 30, there will be a Jazz Preview Night, which will feature the school’s jazz ensembles in a performance, along with dinner, dessert and a silent auction. The Holiday Music Festival has been a Scarsdale tradition for nearly 40 years.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 2, the festival will feature boutique shopping, home-cooked international meals from parents of students, raffles, another silent auction and music from Hoff-Barthelson students and faculty members.
The fund-raiser looks to make holiday shopping simple. There will be scarves and original evening bags from Suzanne Saltzman and local jewelry crafter Lillian Rush will have custom designed pieces.
There will be goods from the Chintz Giraffe, Jean Forte Gifts and the Misshapen Bowl. Shaneen Huxham, Yarnest and Janet Sikirica will be featuring clothes and there will be other items available such as housewares, pillows, place mats and holiday decorations.
The silent auction will have options ranging from tickets for sporting events and concerts, to nights on the town and dinner with Executive Director Joan Behrens Bergman. The grand prize of the raffle will be a new iPhone5.
There will be entertainment for children provided by the Children’s Craft Room on Saturday and Sunday, and an international foods party room that will feature Indian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese delicacies.
The Festival is open to the public at no charge. For further information, call the school at 914-723-1169
