Bronxville's Chapel School Students Serve As Principals For The Day

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Jackson and Arnaud are brothers who served as principals for the day at The Chapel School.

The kindergarteners have a pretty good idea about what the responsibilities of an elementary school principal are and experienced some of them firsthand as they served as “Principal for a Day” at The Chapel School, on Wednesday, April 20.

“Principal for a Day” was an auction item won by their parents at The Chapel School’s yearly fundraising gala, the Gathering of Friends. The brothers worked with Chapel School Principal James Dhyne, who showed them how to greet students at car line, send important fax messages, address the entire school during a school assembly, and read a story to their class.

“We brought treats for all the students” said Arnaud. Around 11 a.m. the brothers visited their classes to lead story time.

The Chapel School is on 172 White Plains Road in Bronxville.
