Three-Alarm Eastchester Seven-Story Blaze Forces Garth Road Closure

Numerous Westchester and surrounding fire departments are battling a three-alarm fire in Eastchester that has closed a major roadway, according to Eastchester Police.

The fire started around 11 a.m. Monday at the seven-story Garth Wood Cooperative complex at 235 Garth Road, Eastchester.

Eastchester police said Garth Road is closed to all vehicular traffic as crews battle the blaze. All motorists are asked to avoid the area.
