The 9/11 Decade: How to Explain Tragedy to Kids

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The anniversary of the Sept. 11 tragedy is just weeks away and there have been many stories revisiting the events of that day. How are you explaining those disturbing images to your children who are too young to remember what happened 10 years ago?

Will you tell them about how the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed? Will you tell them that

terrorists took over American jet planes and used them to strike in New York City and Washington, DC.
