PELHAM, N.Y. Road repaving will cause the closure of several lanes and ramps on the Hutchinson River Parkway from Monday to Thursday, according to a press release from the New York State Department of Transportation.
The closures will affect both northbound and southbound traffic between Exit 18 at Mill Road and Exit 17 at North Avenue. The NYSDOT will alternate lane and ramp closures from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting, for the four nights as workers pave the roads.
The press release advises caution for drivers travelling on the highway through the work zone during those hours. Traffic control devices, signs and flaggers will assist drivers in the area.
Fines double for those who speed through a work zone. Two or more such violations could lead to a suspended license.
