On Saturday the founders of Broken Bow Brewery will host a community celebration in honor of their second birthday in Tuckahoe, featuring live music from Bear’s Choice – a band exclusively made up of Bronxville residents – a “specialty beer lineup” and barbecue prepared by the former D&A Smokehouse.
According to co-founder Kristen Stone, the beer lineup includes two limited edition anniversary beers: Russian Imperial Stout and Imperial IPA, which will be available for sale. They are bringing back the popular Cherry Wood Ale that was released last year, and the popular Oktoberfest is coming back exclusively for this anniversary event.
“Two new beers we just made will be on tap, the first being our Session IPA Series – Nugget IPA and Very Berry Sour, We will also be tapping a cask of Stout Aged on Whiskey Wood Chips and a Ginger Pear Lager that we once did a pilot batch of and kicked in one hour,” she added. “Our mainstays will be available as always, as well as the Snout Stout and the very last keg of the Pilixer.”
The co-founders of Broken Bow Brewery, who come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from finance, motherhood and education haven’t always had it easy as they’ve built their business from the ground up, learning on the fly as they continue to see Broken Bow flourish.
“Starting any business is difficult, but once we laid the ground work and people learned what we were trying to accomplish, the excitement grew and we were welcomed by the village and its residents. To this day, most of our regulars walk here and appreciate our location and with that, we couldn’t be happier,” Stone continued. “Just remember… If it ain’t Broken, don’t drink it.”
