TUCKAHOE, N.Y. Theresa Tippy Portoles of Tuckahoe died May 25. She was 60.
She was born July 5, 1951, in New York City to Angelo and Shirley Portoles. She was a graduate of St. Barnabas High School and Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. Portoles was a longtime parishioner of St. Marys Church in Mount Vernon.
Portoles was a source of inspiration to family, undergoing 34 years of kidney dialysis treatments and numerous surgeries.
She is survived by her companion, Tom Chapman; nine siblings, Laurie, Steven, David, Gerard, Chuck, Ginger, Benigno, Joseph and Di-Di; and a host of family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Marys Church. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at F. Ruggiero and Sons Funeral Home in Yonkers.
