EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Jody Salomone, a lifelong resident of Eastchester, died Dec. 5 at the age of 59.
Born June 20, 1952, she attended Eastchester High School. Salomone worked as a teaching assistant at Anne Hutchinson School in Eastchester for the past 15 years. In a condolence, the parent of a former student described Salomone as "a wonderful teacher and person."
She is survived by her husband Jim Salomone, her son Paul, her daughter Jenna, her sister Denise Colarusso and many other family members.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester. The funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery.
