Children Stage 'Into the Underland' At Eastchester Library

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- A group of 17 children gave the opening performance at the Eastchester Public Library on June 8 of "Into the Underland," an original play based loosely on Suzanne Collins' bestseller "Gregor the Overlander."

All aspects of the play were conceived by children who use the Eastchester Public Library.

Many of the participants had read and mastered "Gregor" for the 2015 Battle of the Books with the Westchester Library System.

All aspects of the play - writing the script, directing, piano accompaniment, costume design - were conceived by children who use the Eastchester Public Library.
