EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Charles J. Galiardi, DDS, 82, formerly of Eastchester, died April 15 at his home in Ocean Pines, Md.
Galiardi was born in the Bronx, N.Y., to Margaret Settinari Galiardi and Charles James Galiardi. After graduating from dental school, he opened a private practice in Yonkers, N.Y., where he continued to practice dentistry until 1994.
From 1960 to 1994, Galiardi lived in Eastchester and Scarsdale. Since retirement, he had lived in Ocean Pines.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan M. Galiardi; a son, Gregory C. (Jackie) Galiardi; a daughter, Christina P. (Evan) Sutter; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marian Garofalo.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Friday at St. Raymonds Church in the Bronx. Burbage Funeral Home, in Berlin, Md., is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Hayes High School, Charles Galiardi Fund, 650 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10451.
