While carpeting is being installed there will be limited access to the Main Floor Reading Area. Seating, along with a selection of popular materials and summer reading list titles, will be available on the lower level of the library.
WiFi is still available throughout the building and iPads will be available to those who wish to access the Internet or the library's catalog. Printing will also be available.
After the carpeting is installed, the new furniture will be arranged for the recently-enlarged Young Adult section of the library.
Renovations will continue throughout the remainder of the year with the replacement of fluorescent lighting with energy-efficient LED lighting.
Renovations will be done all in time for for the library's 50th anniversary at Oakridge Place in 2017.

These renovations are taking place in part due to the 2015 2nd Annual Eastchester 5K, which earmarked its funds for the library.
