What's Happening Around Eastchester This Weekend?

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There are not a lot of events scheduled in Eastchester and Tuckahoe this weekend. The Eastchester Youth Council will perform “West Side Story” at the Lake Isle Country Club on Friday. For a complete list of local and county events, please see our events page.

Friday, Aug. 10

Preschool stories: 11 a.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host a special story time for children in preschool. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue their film series when they screen “Big Miracle,” starring Drew Barrymore. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Family film: 3:30 to 5 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library will host a family movie day, screening “Cowgirl Dora.” Run time is 100 minutes. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Jazz and Blues at Dusk: 6:30 p.m. Saxophonist Joe Abba will join forces with the hip hop fusion band, the Identity Crisis, for an evening of music at the Yonkers Waterfront. 71 Water Grant St., Yonkers.

“West Side Story”: 6 p.m. The Eastchester Youth Council will host their summer dinner theater production of “West Side Story.” $50 ticket includes dinner and the show. Call 337-0660. Held at the Lake Isle Country Club, 660 White Plain Road, Eastchester.

Sunday, Aug. 12

Worship service: 10 a.m. The Holy Eucharist will be followed by a coffee hour at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. 98 Stewart Ave., Eastchester.
