Presentation of the inaugural Loukoumi Make A Difference Awards will be presented to The Anne Hutchinson School, Bronxville’s Chapel School and seven kids (including two from The Waverly School and one from Anne Hutchinson) whose good deeds truly made a difference on Make A Difference with Loukoumi Day.

The event will honor Michael Psaros, KPS of Capital Partners, LP with the inaugural Loukoumi Foundation Inspiration Award.

There will be a DJ, food and drinks for all ages and a silent auction.

The awards will feature celebrity guests Oscar award-winner Olympia Dukakis of "Moonstruck," Tony-nominee Constantine Maroulis of "Rock of Ages," Fox-5 anchors Ernie Anaatos and Nick Gregory, Guiding Light's Frank Dicopoulos and others.

The organization also will be awarding one child in attendance with their career Dream Day. To enter, send your child’s cell phone video by May 30 in 30 seconds or less describing what they want to be when they grow up and why.

Last year’s winner was Eastchester student Sophia Lotto, who lived her dream of becoming a Broadway star by singing from the Rock of Ages stages during the Make A Difference with Loukoumi TV Special.

The special was filmed at the Anne Hutchinson School featuring more than 20 Eastchester students and aired nationally on FOX stations last October.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that teaches children to follow Loukoumi’s lead and to make a positive difference in their lives and the lives of others.

Upcoming projects include a second TV special on the Discovery Channel and a Make A Difference with Loukoumi exhibit at the new Westchester Children’s Museum in Rye.

The Loukoumi Foundation educates children about career choices, helps them give back to their communities and teaches them about bullying awareness and prevention in conjunction with Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention Center.
