Set at an upscale preparatory school in the Bronx, at the end of the 1960s, "Bronx River North" is the story of the improbable, yet dynamic relationship of a blue collar local kid and four well-heeled commuters from the suburbs just north of the city.
Dolgetta was born and raised in the Bronx, whose early years in the Little Italy neighborhood of the borough, surrounded by tough nuns and an even tougher mother, kept him honest.
His novel encompasses the high school years he spent at Fordham Preparatory School where he successfully integrated himself into the Westchester culture of many of his classmates.
He is a retired high school teacher who owns a business in Bronxville and lives in Mahopac with his wife and four grown children. He spends his days writing, traveling and reading.
