Eastchester, Harrison, Mamaroneck, White Plains and Ossining each made the cut based on a score derived from median household income, population change from 2008 to 2011 and the unemployment rate from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Eastchester ranked second in the state with a "job seeker score" of 62.8. Eastchester has a median household income of $99,157, saw its population rise 4.4-percent in the time span examined and has 5.5-percent unemployment rate.
The national unemployment rate is currently 7.6-percent.
Rockville Center on Long Island was found to be the best town to look for a job in New York.
