There will be single and double-lane closures for the foreseeable future on two major parkways in the Hudson Valley.
The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert warning that there will be lane closures on I-684 and the Cross County Parkway “until further notice” to allow crews to make guardrail repairs.
In Bedford, there will be single- and double-lane closures from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. in both directions on I-684 between exit 4 (Route 172) and exit 6 (Route 35). The I-684 ramps to and from exit 6 will also be closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
In Mount Vernon, beginning on Wednesday, June 10, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., the eastbound Cross County Parkway ramp to exit 9 (south Hutchinson River Parkway) is also expected to be closed.
The closures will continue Sunday through Thursday nights until further notice. During the closures, motorists will be directed to follow posted detours and can expect delays.
