Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, motorists have been advised by the New York State Department of Transportation that traffic slowdowns and stoppages are anticipated on both the eastbound and westbound sides of the interstate between Exit 12 (Route 52) and Exit 13 (Route 9), in Fishkill.

The delays are expected to last through 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. There is a 20 percent chance of rain on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, and a potential rain date has been scheduled for Thursday.

During the scope of the construction project, New York State Police troopers and flaggers are expected to be in the area to help control the flow of traffic, though the NYSDOT said motorists can expect delays and should seek alternate routes, if possible.
