Ulster County resident Benjamin Santiago, age 28, of Saugerties, was sentenced by Judge Bryan Rounds in Ulster County Court to 20 years to life on Monday, March 20. The sentence comes after a June 2022 conviction of predatory sexual abuse against a child, following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center of Santiago’s crimes. Ex-Owner Of Hudson Valley Restaurants Accused Of Raping Minor A former restaurateur who owned a pair eateries in the Hudson Valley is facing charges for allegedly raping a minor. An Ulster County grand jury charged Robert Bruno, 58, of Newburgh, in a seven-count indictment for allegedly repeatedly sexually abusing at least one minor, the DA’s Office announced. It is unclear how many victims he had. Specifically, Bruno is charged with three counts of second-degree rape, and two counts each of third-degree rape and second-degree criminal sexual act. Man Accused Of Assaulting, Causing Traumatic Injury To 5-Month-Old Infant A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged abuse of a 5-month-old infant who suffered a traumatic brain injury. Joshua Imboli of Poughkeepsie was arrested on Thursday, March 21, following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center, said the Ulster County District Attorney's Office.
