The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning motorists that beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27 in Putnam and Dutchess counties, there will be northbound lane closures daily through Friday, July 3 in Putnam Valley, Kent, and East Fishkill. Taconic State Parkway Traffic Stoppages Scheduled 'Until Further Notice' The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of upcoming stoppages on the Taconic State Parkway. The Department says that periodic traffic stoppages are scheduled on the Taconic State Parkway northbound and southbound between Exit 25 (Peekskill Hollow Road) and Exit 31 (Route 301) in the Putnam County town of Putnam Valley. The stoppages will occur weekly beginning Wednesday, Oct. 30 until further notice between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting. The left lane has reopened following a crash on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway late Thursday afternoon, Jan. 10 in Putnam County. The northbound incident occurred north of Route 301 in Kent.
