Blaze Tears Through Multi-Family Residence In Peekskill A multi-family residence in Northern Westchester was gutted by an intense blaze that took hours to extinguish, fire officials said. The fire began on Sunday, Feb. 4 around 10:15 a.m. at a two-and-a-half-story residence on Orchard Street in Peekskill, according to the city's fire department.  Arriving fire crews soon found heavy flames coming from the rear of the wood-frame building and began stretching a hose line to begin dousing the blaze. The incident began in Peekskill around 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14 on North James Street. According to Peekskill Police Chief Leo Dylewski, officers responded to the home for a report of an individual suffering from a stab wound. Fire Leaves Several Families Displaced, , Damages Bakery In Peekskill Several families were left homeless following a fire at a three-story home in Northern Westchester.The fire started around 6:15 p.m. Sunday at 1049 Main St., in Peekskill, according to the Peekskill Fire Department. Arriving firefighters found heavy fire on the third floor, the fire department said.
