Covid-19: Croton-On-Hudson OKs Emergency Mask Law Amid Spike In Cases With cases of COVID-19 spiking throughout the state and county, a new precautionary mandate has been passed requiring face masks be worn in a village in Northern Westchester during State of Emergency situations. There are currently 27 active COVID-19 cases in Croton-on-Hudson, which has only seen a total of 262 confirmed cases since the outbreak began spreading in March. Alert Issued For Croton Ice Rescue Training Exercise  The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department is taking advantage of the winter weather to conduct specialized training in the area. The department will be conducting a training exercise - with the approval of Village Manager Janine King - at Kaplan’s Pond, at the corner of Lounsbury Road and Giglio Court on Saturday, Jan. 13. During the training exercise, the department will be reviewing “ice rescue” techniques, which will involve cutting holes in the ice and conducting simulated rescues of “victims.” The exercise is expected to begin around 8 a.m. and should last through the middle of the aftern…
