YORKTOWN, N.Y. Walter Panas student Vivian Burcescu signed her letter of intent to attend the University of Virginia Thursday.
Burcescu, who will attend the university on a volleyball scholarship, is a Walter Panas record holder. The three-time All Section player and Con Edison Scholar Athletic Award winner also had 313 career blocks, 1051 career assists and 208 aces.
Her parents, Silviu and Cora, as well as sisters Brigitte and Yvette watched as she signed the papers alongside volleyball coach Joseph Felipe.
