Sophomore Jennifer Gougelmann and senior Carolyn Kochek will be competing in the New York State Girls Swimming Championships in Ithaca on Nov. 17 and Nov. 18.
Gougelmann returns to the state championships for the second consecutive year, while Kochek will be making her inaugural appearance.
Gougelmann has qualified in two events in her second appearance in the state finals- the 200 medley relay and 500-yard freestyle and has five school records.
Kocheck has qualified for state championships as a member of the 200 Medley Relay team. She also accounts for one school record as a member of the 200 Free Relay team.
“Carolyn and Jennifer are terrific ambassadors of their sport for the Hen Hud community," Athletic Director Tom Baker said. "We are very proud of their accomplishments and we wish them the best of luck at Ithaca.”
