Croton-Harmon Booster Club Officers Honored

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The officers of Croton-Harmon Booster Club, busy for three days handling concessions and other support group duties, were called onto the gym floor during Saturday’s 31st Robert E. Mayclim Basketball Tournament to be recognized for their work organizing and running the event.

Croton High School athletic director Susan Dullea presented club president Jim Tuman, treasurer Eric Squire, vice president Tim Dinger and David Leveen to the fans and players in the gymnasium during the championship final games that featured both the Croton girls’ and boys’ basketball teams. Club secretary Donna Torre was not present during the introduction.

Dullea thanked the Booster Club for its support of the school’s sports programs, telling the crowd that the group was responsible for making the event possible.

The tournament, which includes competition in boys and girls varsity and junior varsity games, is named for Robert E. Mayclim, known as “The Voice of Croton” and a longtime supporter of Croton sports programs. Mayclim, who passed away in 1986, was president of the Croton-Harmon Booster Club in 1984 and 1985.
