Croton Beats Pleasantville in 18th Wrestling Win

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - David Occhipinti (132 pounds), D.J. Frederich (120) and Andrew Barsuch (99) all had first-period pins, leading Croton to a 54-23 win over visiting Pleasantville in a high school wrestling match, Wednesday. Croton improved to 18-7 on the season.

Occhipinti had the quickest pin -- 48 seconds. Barsuch continued his break-out season. The sophomore is 22-2 with both losses coming to Division I (large school) opponents.Andrew Horan (152) registered a pin in his match and J.P. O’Malley (138) and Tommy Schultz (106) won by decision.

Pleasantville’s Cole McKinney (182) and Graham Williamson (126) posted major decisions and Peter Salzarulo (160) decisioned his opponent.Croton 54, Pleasantville 23
