SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Lakeland and John Jay-East Fishkill have developed a field hockey rivalry through the years. When the two teams were in Class A it was inevitable that they would meet either in the sectional semifinals or final. Each won their share of games, but it has been Lakeland that owns the upper-hand the last few years. The Hornets continued their mastery over the Patriots with an 8-0 win, Tuesday. Shannon Scavelli had a hat trick as Lakeland improved to 3-0. Emma Bozek added two goals and three assists and Abby Murdock had two goals and one assist.
