Big Crowds Expected At Taping Of Hen Hud Football Game

MONTROSE, N.Y. - The Lakeland High School Hornets take on the Hendrick Hudson High School Sailors in Friday night's football game at Hendrick Hudson, and a recording of the game will be broadcast on the MSG Varsity network at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24.

"These kids have put a lot of hard work in, and being able to showcase it is a good thing for Hendrick Hudson," said Athletic Director Tom Baker.

The Lakeland Hornets are so far undefeated, with a record of 2-0, and the Sailors are 1-1 after a defeat in a non-league game with the Croton-Harmon Tigers.

Hen Hud Coach Mike Lynch will look to showcase an up-tempo, no-huddle style, looking to keep the opposition on their toes with no time to rest between plays.

Baker said he expects Friday night's game Friday's game, which starts at 7 p.m. on Hen Hud's field, to be well attended by the community. A long-running rivalry game between the Croton-Harmon Tigers and Sailors has seen the bleachers awash with more than 2,000 fans.

"Last year, when we had the game with Croton, and MSG, we had about 2,500 people here. Our past history with Lakeland has been that it's been a very well-attended game by both schools," said Baker.
