Croton And Hendrick Hudson Team Up On Government Efficiency Plan

CROTON-HARMON, N.Y. The Croton-Harmon School District announced that it has partnered with the Henrick Hudson School District in a plan that projects to have a one percent local levy tax savings.

In the past, the Croton-Harmon district has been unable to qualify for the tax levy savings due to plans being in place before the state's July 1, 2012 cutoff date. As the district put together a new plan, officials from Henrick Hudson contacted Croton-Harmon to see if there was interest in a joint plan.

The motion was passed at the Croton-Harmon School District meeting on May 7.

The Croton-Harmon School District is grateful to the Hendrick Hudson school board for reaching out to their administration to start this process of a joint venture. Croton-Harmon Assistant Superintendent for Business Diane L.Chaissan said in a statement.

We are pleased that through this collaboration, and this years proposed budget which falls below the state tax levy cap, our residents will be eligible for the tax levy rebate check.
