CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Gov. Andrew Cuomo 's administration made its opposition known at this week's Atomic Safety and Licensing Board hearing on the application of Entergy Nuclear Operations Inc. for relicensing the Indian Point Nuclear Facilities.
In a Nov. 16 letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the administration's objections included Entergy's lack of an adequate safety, an evacuation plan for dealing with a major disaster so close to New York City and the company's "woefully inadequate" aging management plan for the plant.
Here is the entire letter.
