WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a Dutchess County resident who is wanted on charges of rape, according to officials.
Michael A. Winchcombe, 35, was charged with first-degree rape after allegedly forcing himself on a 16-year-old victim. He was released from Dutchess County Jail on $100,000 bond nd failed to appear for his scheduled court appearances, police said.
Authorities believe Winchcombe could be in the New Jersey area.
Anyone with information regarding the location of Winchcombe is asked to contact the Dover Bureau of Criminal Investigation by calling (845)677-7300. All calls will be kept confidential.
