Police Seek Suspect In Route 6 Hit-And-Run In Mohegan Lake

CORTLANDT, N.Y.  -- Cortlandt State Police are looking for a person who allegedly struck a Yorktown resident in Mohegan Lake and then fled the scene Tuesday night.

New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks responded to the area of Lexington Avenue and State Route 6 at about 10:35 p.m. for a hit-and-run auto accident involving Alex Hoy, a 26-year-old Yorktown resident.

Police interviewed Hoy, who was receiving medical attention from the Mohegan Lake Rescue Squad.  Hoy sad he was walking northbound on Lexington Avenue when a vehicle traveling southbound struck him and fled the scene, police said.  Hoy was unable to obtain a vehicle description, police said.  The vehicle sustained a broken windshield and continued to travel south on Lexington Avenue, police sad.

Hoy was transported to Westchester Medical Center where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
