Police Say Peekskill Man Faces Two Misdemeanors

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – Westchester County Police say a Peekskill man is facing two misdemeanor charges after police say he attempted to leave Kohl's department store with $219 in merchandise. Santiago Medina, 18, of Peekskill, was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny and misdemeanor false impersonation. Police say he provided a false name when he was initially booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne. He is due in Cortlandt Town Court on July 23. The incident was reported Wednesday, July 11, at 8 p.m.

Possible Dispute: Westchester County Police say they responded to residents on 6th Street in Verplanck, on a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Police say an officer determined the dispute was between a mother and daughter, and that the dispute was only verbal. The incident was reported just before 5 p.m. Friday, July 6.
