Police Investigate Second Robbery At Jefferson Valley Bank In Two Weeks

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Police Department is investigating a new bank robbery at Putnam County Savings Bank at 3649 Lee Road in Jefferson Valley.

According to police, at 11:47 a.m., two black males, approximately 6 feet tall and in their mid-20s, wearing dark colored clothes, sunglasses and dark colored hats entered the bank. One suspect was wearing a light colored bandanna covering his face.

The two men handed several bags to the teller and instructed him to put money in the bags. They left the bank in an unknown direction, according to police.

This is the second time in less than two weeks that branch has been robbed.
