Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Missing Cortlandt Teen

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a Verplanck teen who has been missing since June.

Samantha Lucero, 16, has been missing from Verplanck since June 28.

Samantha Lucero, 16, ran away from home and is believed to be staying with friends in Westchester or in Port Jervis in Orange County, state police said.

The Hendrick Hudson High School student is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.

She has brown eyes and dark brown hair that was dyed red the last time she was seen.

Anyone with information regarding Samantha’s whereabouts is asked to call state police in Cortlandt at (914) 769-2600.
