Police said Miller has been charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony, criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and criminal obstruction of breathing, also a class A misdemeanor
Troopers were dispatched to a physical domestic incident that occurred at a Cortlandt residence, according to Yorktown police.
Investigation revealed that Miller choked the victim following a verbal dispute, police said. Miller violated an active court order of protection by having contact with the victim during the domestic incident, police said. Miller fled the home prior to police arriving on scene, according to police.
Troopers located Miller and placed him in custody for the charges on Saturday, March 7. Police said when officers learned that Miller had returned to the victim’s home on Saturday, he was additionally charged with criminal contempt in the second degree.
Miller was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He was scheduled to reappear in Cortlandt Court on Monday.
