Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to an East Main Street home on April 26, where there was a report of harassment that had been ongoing for several months, prompting an investigation.
Police said it is alleged that between Jan. 17 and June 17 this year, Cortlandt Manor resident Anthony Cassone, 55, “left approximately 25 voicemails on the victim’s voicemail system that served no legitimate purpose and caused the victim annoyance and alarm.” At the victim’s request, a criminal summons was obtained from the Yorktown Justice Court for a charge of second-degree harassment.
On Thursday, June 28, Cassone was arrested as the summons was served and charged with harassment, a violation.
Following processing, Cassone was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 12.
