A Fairfield County man is facing multiple charges after being busted with cocaine following a crash on Old Yorktown Road when he was allegedly impaired, police said.

Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Old Yorktown Road (Route 132), where there was a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries and a vehicle on its side.

Upon arrival at the scene, police said that investigation into the crash determined that the driver, Bethel resident Jacob Foster, 27, was operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs.

Further investigation into the crash found that Foster was allegedly in possession of a “quantity of crack and cocaine.”

Foster was arrested at the scene and charged with misdemeanor counts of driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. After being processed, Foster was released on $250 bail and into the custody of a sober third party. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 29 to answer the charges.
