Firefighters are battling a fire in Verplanck

VERPLANCK, N.Y. -- Firefighters rushed to the scene of a fire at a home on Westchester Avenue in Verplanck late Monday afternoon.

Firefighters from the Verplanck Fire District, Montrose Fire Department and Peekskill Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire, which began shortly after 4 p.m.
