Yorktown Police said Friday that Nicholas Sarcone, 27, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of second-degree aggravated harassment following a complaint last month from a Yorktown woman.
According to police, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, a woman reported that she had received “multiple threatening text messages” from Sarcone, prompting an investigation at her Yorktown home. It is also alleged that Sarcone threatened her multiple times between Nov. 28 and Dec. 22, "causing her to fear for her physical safety."
After being contacted by police, Sarcone turned himself into police and was arraigned by Judge Gary Raniolo on Thursday, Dec. 29. A temporary order of protection in favor of the female was issued and Sarcone was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Jan. 19.
