Cortlandt Homeowner's Former Employee Steals TV, Computer, Safe, Police Say

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man from Port Chester is facing serious charges in Cortlandt after being accused of robbing electronics and a safe from a former employer.

On Tuesday, New York State Police announced that Port Chester resident Joshua Campbell was charged with a felony count of second-degree burglary after he was arrested last week following a brief investigation by Troop K.

On Thursday, Dec. 15, troopers were dispatched to a home on Watch Hill Road in Cortlandt to investigate a reported burglary. During the investigation, it was revealed that a suspect unlawfully entered the home and stole a television, computer and small safe.

The following day, Campbell was arrested and charged. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court by Judge McCarthy and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
