Cops: Man Throwing Coffee at Clerk Caught on Video

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A man and a woman went into the Dunkin Donuts in the Van Wyck Shopping Center, and the woman recorded the scene as the man bought an ice coffee and threw it at the clerk, Croton police said.

Police are reviewing the store's surveillance video of the incident. Police described the couple as a black female wearing blue jeans, and a thin black male, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall. The incident was reported by store employees about 9 p.m. Saturday, June 2.

The following items were also reported by Croton-on-Hudson police: Larceny: Store security at the ShopRite grocery store in Croton reported a woman leaving without paying for more than $100 in groceries. The store reported to police that the woman ignored a store manager as she attempted to stop the woman from leaving. A partial license plate number was obtained. The incident was reported at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31.

Stolen Cooking Oil: A shopkeeper reported that recyclable cooking oil was taken from behind his shop on Maple Street, and that it isn't the first time it had occurred. The theft was reported about 3 p.m. Friday, June 1.

Park Tables Stacked: The Croton Recreation Department reported that overnight all of the picnic tables in Senasqua Park had been stacked on top of one another. The incident was reported about 8 a.m. Saturday, June 2.

Floating Toilet: A caller reported seeing a portable toilet floating down the Croton River about 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2. Police said the portable toilet was blue, and all of Croton's are green, and that they think it may be from a county park. Police said the toilet has not been retrieved, and could have sunk.

DWI: Vincent Priego, 30, of Ossining was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He was stopped just before midnight Sunday, June 3, on Route 9 southbound. He was released on $100 cash bail.
