The threat was reported just before 1 p.m., the district said. New York State Police responded to the scene with K-9 units, and the building was evacuated, according to Superintendent of Schools Brian Monahan.

"It does not seem like it was a credible threat," Monahan said.

The district held an early dismissal for the school. It will likely reopen at 3:30 p.m. for after-school activities, Monahan said.
