MONTROSE, N.Y. - Joan M. Mitchell, a Peekskill native and Montrose resident, died Dec. 19. She was 82.
Mithcell was born in Peekskill on April 20, 1930, to Edgar and Catherine Miller.
She married Robert Mitchell on April 14, 1951.
She is survived by her husband; son Michael (Bonnie) and daughter Susan (Dan) Stewart; grandchildren, Kevin Mitchell, Martin and Sean Stewart; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Martin J.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Augustine's Church in Ossining, N.Y. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Verplanck, N.Y.
