CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. Clinton F. Dorien of Croton-on-Hudson died July 23. He was 84.
Dorien was born Feb. 10, 1928, to Clinton J. Dorien and Clara Lupton. He graduated from Croton-Harmon High School and married Anne Keller on May 12, 1951, at Holy Name of Mary Church.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years. Dorien also served on the USS Vulcan as a gunners mate and was a volunteer firefighter for 50 years.
Dorien is survived by his wife, Anne; two sons, James (Susan) and Steven (Tracey); two sisters, Barbara Zajac and Joan (Carmen) DeMarco; a sister-in-law, Norma Keller; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Croton-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Croton.
