Monday, April 30

Diabetes Wellness Workshops 2 to 3 p.m. This event takes place the first Tuesday of the month from and is free to those living with diabetes and pre-diabetes as well as their caregivers and family members. All participants must register. All sessions include evidence-based disease management tools presented by the Hudson Valley Hospital Center. Village budget adoption 7:30 to 9 p.m. Both the Croton Board of Trustees and Buchanan Board of Trustees will meet to adopt their respective revised budgets for the 2012-13 fiscal year. For more information, visit the village’s websites.

Town and County Taxes Due Monday, April 30, is the last day to pay town and county taxes in the Town of Cortlandt without incurring a penalty. Taxes can be paid online  until midnight or in person at the town tax receiver’s office until 4 p.m. The tax receiver’s office is located in Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady St., Cortlandt, N.Y.

Tuesday, May 1

Cortlandt Planning Board meeting 7 to 9 p.m. The Town of Cortlandt Planning Board will meet to discuss construction in the town. For more information, visit the town’s website.

Wednesday, May 2

Breastfeeding Support Group  11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This support group is presented by the Hudson Valley Hospital Center on the first and third Wednesday of each month, and is held in the next door to the hospital in the Dempsey House, 1992 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor. All participants must preregister by calling 914-734-3257.

Hendrick Hudson Board of Education meeting 7:30 to 9 p.m. The school board will meet in the library of Hendrick Hudson High School.

Thursday, May 3

Croton-Harmon School Board public budget hearing 7:30 to 9 p.m. Trustees of the Croton-Harmon School District will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget. There will also be a regular business meeting. Both will be held in the Croton-Harmon High School community room.
