CORTLANDT, N.Y. – "Legally Blonde" and "Kunstler" are onstage this weekend, and the amphibians are out in Brinton Brook Sanctuary. Those are among many events this weekend in Cortlandt.

Friday, June 8

Hudson Stage Company Presents "Kunstler": 7:30 p.m. Hudson Stage Company presents a free, staged reading of "Kunstler," a drama based on the career of radical lawyer William Kunstler, who toward the end of a long and controversial career faces an audience of law students, including one determined to confront him. Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson.Cortlandt Engine Company Bazaar: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. This old-fashioned bazaar will have rides for children, games and food cooked by the Ladies Auxiliary Club. Saturday's bazaar will begin with a parade from Bannon Avenue and Kings Ferry Road in Montrose, to the Montrose Firehouse at Route 9A and Kings Ferry Road."Legally Blonde" the Musical: 7:30 p.m. The award-winning Lighthouse Youth Theater presents this musical about an unlikely law student who accidentally discovers something about herself while trying to win back the affections of her former boyfriend. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. 1974 Commerce St., Yorktown Heights. Call 914-245-3415 for more information.

Amphibian Search: 10 a.m. Second Saturday Walk at Brinton Brook Sanctuary. It’s early June and the amphibians are enjoying the weather. Hike to the Waterfall Trail where toads are hopping, salamanders are hiding, and frogs are calling. This event is free for Saw Mill River Audubon members and $5 per person for nonmembers. Call 914-762-2912, ext. 110, for more information. Brinton Brook is Sawmill River Audubon's largest sanctuary, on Route 9A in Cortlandt. No registration is needed. The walk is suitable for ages 6 and up and is held regardless of weather, except for severe weather or road closings.

Classical Music Recital: 7:30 p.m. Vocal, violin and piano music will be performed by local high school students at the Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson. The recital is free and takes place in the Ottinger Room.

Sunday, June 10

Grundluvsdag Festival: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Celebrate Danish Constitution Day with Danish food, drinks, a raffle and music held at Croton's Danish Home, 1065 Quaker Bridge Road E., Croton-on-Hudson. Call 914-271-3052 for more information, or visit www.danishhome.org.
